The SoCalGas Energy Resource Center (ERC) in Downey, CA is a showcase facility that features a Food Service Equipment Center - a customer driven test kitchen for natural gas fired equipment in our service territory. SoCal Gas invites its business customers to schedule a tour at the center and encourages business customers to attend the no-cost industry focused seminars to learn about different aspects of energy-efficient foodservice equipment. SoCalGas ERC also offers meeting space for corporate meetings, recipe and menu development, professional standards, food safety training, manager meetings and more. The FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT CENTER features a “Try Before You Buy” program where customers can schedule time to test and compare more than 100 pieces of natural gas equipment from more than 50 manufacturers. Bring your own recipes to assess cooking quality, production, ease of operation and maintenance.
