2 Connect with legislators through CALA’s Advocacy Action Center: CALA’s Advocacy Action Center equips members with the necessary tools and resources to amplify their voices and engage with legislators effectively. The center offers comprehensive guidance through video tutorials and informational ADVOCACY ACTION CENTER guides that make it easy for members to invite legislators to visit their communities. By providing firsthand experiences for legislators within Assisted Living communities and CCRCs, members can forge meaningful relationships and help educate legislators about the value CALA members provide. The center also features a convenient search function to locate specific legislators, streamlining communication and advocacy efforts. 4 Utilize tools to help develop and sustain a skilled workforce: CALA’s website provides tools and resources to help employers cultivate and maintain a skilled workforce. These resources include: ● A Recruitment Toolkit containing new ideas for adding a creative twist, a change in perspective or an additional element to recruitment efforts, leading to higher success. • Use the provided fact sheets to demonstrate opportunities for individuals with these backgrounds or degrees. • Use the Degree-Based Map to learn about positions suited to a variety of degrees, or this Interest-Based Map exploring positions based on skills and preferences. Additionally, there is information available for employees looking to advance their careers. • CALA also provides tools and resources for recruiting military veterans. ● A tip sheet for those in the field to enhance their growth and professional development.
